Start Up Croydon has been helping people start and grow businesses in the borough since 1983, with more than 8,000 businesses through its doors and two National Enterprise Network awards along the way. It is Croydon’s accredited Enterprise Centre and a charity, not a fee-first operator. The support runs from free one-to-one mentoring and a three-day business bootcamp through to a pre-start incubator with the chance of seed funding at the end. Alongside that it offers affordable serviced offices, co-working and virtual office services on flexible monthly terms, so you are not tied into a long lease. It is now growing into a new brand, UP, that brings the business support, workspace and a new creative digital lab together in one place. A good fit for early-stage founders in south London who want practical help and a base close to home.
