Akcela is Norwich's city-centre startup incubator, based at Fuel Studios, that co-builds alongside tech and tech-enabled founders from early idea through to MVP and revenue. It offers workspace, weekly hands-on sessions, product and go-to-market support, fundraising help and a founder community, with its full incubation running 12 to 18 months at no upfront cost on an equity-for-services basis. Akcela is also the Norfolk lead partner on the Future Tech Programme, a free, equity-free programme for early-stage tech founders across Norfolk and Suffolk, council-backed and delivered with regional partners, reaching founders in Great Yarmouth, Ipswich and King's Lynn. That programme gives up to six months of structured support, free desk space, practical workshops, one-to-one guidance and warm investor introductions. Industry-agnostic as long as technology is central, and welcoming to first-time and non-technical founders. To date it has supported 79 businesses that have raised over £2.2 million between them.
